2 Prithvi-II missiles test fired India successfully test fired in quick succession two nuclearcapable Prithvi-II surface-to-surface ballistic missiles with a range of 350 km from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur, Orissa on October 12. The Prithvi-II missile, which is about nine metres in length and one metre in width, can carry conventional as well as nuclear warheads and has a range of 350 kilometres. The missile has already been inducted by the armed forces and is handled by the army units attached to the strategic force command's special group.
