    Marathi film ‘Harischandrachi Factory’ was selected as India’s official entry to 2010 Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category, making it the second film, after Shwaas to receive the honour.

    Marathi film ‘Harischandrachi Factory’ was selected as India’s official entry to 2010 Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category, making it the second film, after Shwaas to receive the honour. The film depicts the struggle of Dadasaheb Phalke in making ‘Raja Harishchandra’ in 1913. Dadasaheb Phalke is known as  the father of Indian cinema and ‘Raja Harishchandra’ was his first film.
