    IPL 2021: Full Schedule, Teams, Time Table, Venue of the Remaining Matches, Phase 2 Dates, and More

    BCCI has announced to conduct remaining matches of VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 in UAE. As per sources, the remaining matches of IPL 2021 are expected to start from 17 September 2021 and the final match will be played on 10 October 2021.

    On 29 May 2021, BCCI announced to conduct remaining matches of VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 in UAE considering the monsoon season in India in the months of September-October this year. The decision to resume IPL was unanimously taken at a Special General Meeting (SGM) held virtually.

    The BCCI has not yet announced the schedule of the tournament. However, as per sources, the remaining matches of IPL 2021 are expected to start from 17 September 2021 and the final match will be played on 10 October 2021. 

    Earlier, BCCI has indefinitely postponed IPL 2021 or the fourteenth season of IPL after several players tested positive for COVID-19. 

    "The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting has unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season, with immediate effect. The BCCI does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff and the other participants involved in organising the IPL. This decision was taken keeping the safety, health and wellbeing of all the stakeholders in mind," as per a statement released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). 

    The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the BCCI in 2007.  The 2021 Indian Premier League or IPL 14  was scheduled to be played between 9 April to 30 May 2021 across six different venues in India- Bangalore (M. Chinnaswamy Stadium), Delhi (Arun Jaitley Stadium), Ahmedabad (Narendra Modi Stadium), Mumbai (Wankhede Stadium), Chennai (M. A. Chidambaram Stadium) and Kolkata (Eden Gardens).  

    8 teams took part in the 14th edition of the IPL 2021, namely;

    1. Mumbai Indians

    2. Chennai Super Kings 

    3. Kolkata Knight Riders

    4. Sunrisers Hyderabad

    5. Rajasthan Royals

    6. Delhi Capitals

    7. Punjab Kings (Kings XI Punjab has been renamed with a new logo)
