In the first Qualifier of the season, CSK went up against GT and defeated them by 15 runs, hence becoming the first team of the season to qualify for the finals. In the eliminator round, Mumbai Indians competed with Lucknow Super Giants to get a chance to qualify for the finals and they won by a massive gap of 81 runs. For the Qualifier 2, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans went toe-to-toe in a nail-biting, and thrilling match. Ultimately, the Titans emerged victorious by 62 runs, subsequently qualifying for the IPL 2023 final.
