Kosovo becomes member of IMF
Kosovo became the 186th member of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on June 30. The former Serbian province of Kosovo declared its independence in February 2008. Initial quota in the IMF is about $91.5 million. Kosovo's share of total Fund quotas would be 0.027 per cent. With the admission of Kosovo, total members’ quotas in the IMF rose to SDR 217.43 billion.
