Rishabha, who was the father of first Chakravarti King Bharata, founded the Jainism. The Vishnu Purana and Bhagvat Gita describes Rishabha as an incarnation of Narayan. He was succeeded by 23 other trithankaras. Jainism became major religion under 24th trithankar Vardhaman Mahavir.
