    List of Padma Awardees 2021: Padma Awards 2021 comprises 7 Padma Vibhushan, 10 Padma Bhushan and 102 Padma Shri Awardees. Of these, 29 of the awardees are women, 16 Posthumous awardees and 1 transgender awardee. Check the complete list of Padma Award 2021 winners here.

    List of Padma Awardees 2021: Padma Awards are one of the Highest Civilian Awards of India and are conferred in three categories-- Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri-- in various disciplines/fields of activities such as art, social work, public affairs, science and affairs, and so forth. 

    119 Padma Awards to be presented by President Ram Nath Kovind this year. The list comprises 7 Padma Vibhushan, 10 Padma Bhushan and 102 Padma Shri Awards. 29 of the awardees are women, 16 Posthumous awardees and 1 transgender awardee.

    List of Padma Awards 2022

    Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was conferred Padma Vibhushan posthumously. The award was presented by President Ram Nath Kovind to her daughter Bansuri Swaraj at the ceremony held in Delhi.

    Star badminton player PV Sindhu and Women's Hockey team Captain Rani Rampal were conferred Padma Shri Award by President Ram Nath Kovind. 

    President Ram Nath Kovind also presented the awards to noted Hindustani classical singer Pandit Chhannulal Mishra (Padma Vibhushan), singer Adnan Sami (Padma Shri) and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut (Padma Shri). 

    Former Head Scientist at ICMR Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar and Air Marshal Dr. Padma Bandopadhyay were conferred Padma Shri in the field of medicine.

    1- President Ram Nath Kovind has approved conferment of 119 Padma Awards, including 1 duo case (in a duo case, the award is counted as one) for the year 2021.

    2- The list comprises 7 Padma Vibhushan, 10 Padma Bhushan and 102 Padma Shri Awards.

    3- The Padma awardees includes 29 women.

    4- 10 persons are from the category of Foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI.

    5- The list includes 16 Posthumous awardees and 1 transgender awardee.

    It is to be noted that Padma Awards are announced each year on the occasion of Republic Day (26 January) and the awards are conferred by the President of India in a ceremonial function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the month of March/April of the same year. 

    Kerala State Awards: 

    On the lines of the Padma Awards that are conferred nationally for exemplary contribution to various fields, the Kerala Cabinet decided to institute the state awards titled Kerala Puraskarangal. The award will be presented in three categories, namely, Kerala Jyothi, Kerala Prabha and Kerala Sree.

    Kerala Jyothi award will be conferred to a single person, Kerala Prabha to two individuals and Kerala Sree to five people in a year. 

    The awards will be announced each year on Kerala Piravi Day, 1 November and the ceremony will be held at Raj Bhavan.
