    Sex Ratio of Indian States & UTs as Per Census 2011

    Sex ratio is used to describe the number of females per 1000 of males. In the Population Census of 2011 it was revealed that the population ratio in India 2011 is 943 females per 1000 males. Haryana has the lowest sex ratio (877) in Indian states while in union territory Daman & Diu has lowest sex ratio of 618. Kerala has the highest sex ratio of 1084 in the all Indian states.

     The Sex Ratio-2011 shows an upward trend from the census 2001 data. Census 2001 shows that there were 933 females per 1000 males. The Sex ratio of the Indian states and Union Territories is as follows;
